AARG ILMAH MISSION 5
AARG 5i is the fifth analog mission being conducted by the research group. It's currently taking place at the University of North Dakota (UND) Integrated Moon-Mars Analog Habitat (ILMAH) and will conduct a series of experiments from UND and APUS.
Our ARG-5i Team
Olivia Turner, Commander: Olivia is working on her Master's of Management with the American Public University System. A Jill of many trades, she grounds her adventurous energy by working in the dirt and brings her love of plants to research the growth of microgreens in Lunar and Martian regolith. She enjoys being active in all things and outdoors, unleashing her creativity with cooking and baking, and hitting the trails with her dog. Olivia is immensely overjoyed and thankful to participate in her second analog ILMAH mission and is truly honored to lead her second mission as Commander.
Luis Gonzalez, Mission Specialist: Luis is working on completing his Master's of Science in Space Studies with AMU, while serving in the United States Air Force as an instructor pilot, accumulating over 1,500 hours in 8 different aircrafts while conducting operations worldwide. He looks forward to connecting his passion for space exploration with his aviation skills. Luis enjoys sailing races, cooking, and spending time with his dog.
Kailyn Cecil, Mission Specialist: Kailyn is an undergraduate student working toward her associate degree in math at Central Texas Community College. The goal of her research is to help revitalize the Martian environment and further exploration outside of our planet. She enjoys Herpetology, Herbology, the arts, reading, and working with her chihuahuas.
Thomas DeJan, Mission Specialist: Tom possesses a rich career in aviation encompassing both military and civilian sectors. Thomas is currently pursuing a degree in the American Military University's Space Studies Program, specializing in Aerospace Science, and eagerly looks forward to conducting experiments on the ARG-5i mission.
