AARG-4I Mission Day 5

The team conducted a successful EVA! Mission Specialists Malnack and Turner were able to perform perimeter checks of the hab for Malnack’s wear and tear study. They were able to record nearly 75 minutes of footage. Many Martian damselflies, and Martian dogs to see. Who knew those were on Mars?! For this study, Malnack is mainly focused on the effects of non-water related damage since there isn’t precipitation on Mars. His MRE study continues, and the second case of MREs has now been cracked open.

Mission Specialist Turner reported that the Kale and Red Russian micro-greens, in both Lunar regolith groups, are growing. No growth reported for the Mars regolith yet. Malnack monitored the Hamama and Exolab experiments and noted significant growth in the Hamama experiment.

The team also took a break during the day for some crafting time. Turner is working on crocheting a lunar fox, while Miller is assembling a 3D model of Apollo CSM with Lunar Module.

Stay tuned for more daily reports!
